The 19th game of the Pakistan Super League is expected to be an exciting contest as both Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings are coming into this game riding on good form. The Sultans are currently sitting on the top of the points table and have nearly secured a place for themselves in the playoff stage. The Kings on the other hand after their drop in form have won their last two games and this will give them confidence going into the next one.

In the earlier game played between the two sides the Multan Sultans had registered a convincing win which is likely to act as a huge confidence booster for the side. They have a well-balanced side as their batsmen and bowlers have been performing well. The Karachi Kings would be looking to make best use of the momentum they are in at the moment. It is expected to be a good game as both the sides are bringing in lot to the table.

Imad Wasim’s side is continuing its good run in the tournament. After defeating the Islamabad United the side registered an impressive win in their last game against the Peshawar Zalmi. With this win the side has now risen to the second position on the points table. They had gone down against the Sultans earlier in the season and Wasim would be looking to even it out in the next game.

Babar Azam’s return to form is good news for the side and he would be looking to provide the side with a good start in company of Sharjeel Khan. Their middle order looks in good form with players like Alex Hales, Cameron Delport and Chadwick Walton having runs behind their back. With Imad Wasim and Iftikhar Ahmed to follow in the lower order batting looks strong for the side.

Mohammad Amir did well in the last game and this would add to the confidence of their bowling attack. He will look to provide a good start along with Aamer Yamin. Chris Jordan and Imad Wasim have also bowled well in the previous game and they will look to carry this momentum into the next one.

Babar Azam, Alex Hales and Mohammad Amir will be the players who are likely to perform for Karachi Kings in the next game

Expected Playing XI:

Imad Wasim (c), Mohammad Amir, Chadwick Walton (wk), Chris Jordan, Alex Hales, Babar Azam, Sharjeel Khan, Cameron Delport, Aamer Yamin, Iftikhar Ahmed, Umer Khan

With four wins in their five games so far Shan Masood’s side has definitely looked the best in the season so far. They won the last game against the Quetta Gladiators to claim the top spot on the points table. Having defeated the Karachi Kings earlier in the season the side would start from a point of confidence in the next game.

James Vince and Zeeshan Ashraf have done well opening the batting for the side and they would look to carry on with the same form in the next game. Shan Masood also looks in great form at the moment. Rilee Rossouw comes into this game with a hundred behind his back and this will make him extremely confident. With Moeen Ali and Khushdil Shah in the side they have a very formidable batting line-up.

Sohail Tanvir and Bilawal Bhatti are looking in good form with the ball at the moment and they will look to trouble the Karachi Kings batting. Mohammad Ilyas and Mohammad Irfan went for runs in the last game and they would be aiming to improve their performance with the new ball. With Imran Tahir looking in good form it will be a tough ask for Karachi Kings to score against this attack.

James Vince, Imran Tahir and Rilee Rossouw are the three players who would be expected to do well for Multan Sultans in the next game.

Expected Playing XI:

Shan Masood (c), Sohail Tanvir, Rilee Rossouw, James Vince, Imran Tahir, Moeen Ali, Mohammad Irfan, Bilawal Bhatti, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Ilyas, Zeeshan Ashraf (wk)

There has been a trend in the Pakistan Super League where sides are prefering to chase scores instead of putting one on the table. Pitches have been flat and that’s pushing this decision. The side that wins the toss in the next game would look to bowl first and restrict the opponent to a small total.

We have already seen some high scoring games on this surface as the wicket has been flat which doesn’t offer much to the fast bowlers. The ball hits the bat hard allowing batsmen to commit themselves to the front foot. Spinners are getting turn on this surface and we expect the next game to have lot of runs.

There are chances of rain at Lahore during the game and the skies would be mostly overcast. The conditions would be windy which may help the fast bowlers. The temperature would be around 17℃ at the start of the game with 80% humidity and 80% precipitation predicted for the day.

Multan Sultans have topped the points table and the side has looked in good form so far. Their batsmen are in good form and the bowlers have also played complementary role. This would make them favorites to win the next game.

Karachi Kings can’t be completely ruled out of the game as they are coming into this one after two convincing victories. The side would be high on confidence and it would take special effort from Multan Sultans to defeat them.

There isn’t much separating between the two sides at the moment but Multan Sultans bat deep and this would put them nose ahead of the Karachi Kings going into the game.
